I was intending to write a post on creativity, and look what showed up!
A Mediator’s Meditation
The long days
smidge their way shorter…
Song sparrow accompanied me
to the courthouse today.
Human parents squabble
like house sparrows in the bushes
hoping for love & peace & ease for
their beloved babies.
I hope to ease their story & journey
with understanding & compassionate listening,
and am grateful to trust that
Mama Earth & Papa Sky
love all their children through distraction.
May we also love each other
& cherish our journeys of
squabbles with mothers on their way
to transition,
while remembering & grieving papas already gone,
knowing that Father Sun & Grandmother Moon
always accompany us –
Shining love on this wild rumpus of life.

How do you open space for creativity? What inspires you?
Ballet dancers, art shows, music performances, getting outdoors, all feed my soul. I’m so grateful for all that Richmond offers. I hope you will take time to receive gifts of beauty and to share your own, to make the world a better place.
Sitting still and listening allowed these words to flow. I’d love to hear what you do to open up the flow to create. What feeds your soul? What do you like to create? Please share below!

Thanks so much, Bec! It’s fun (and feels a bit trepidatious) to put it out here. xoxo
